"Payroll and Business Taxes 101 " This workshop is a chance to get answers to your
tax questions. We will cover the basics of payroll taxes, including employees
versus independent contractors, time keeping records and computing gross
earnings, withholding federal and state income taxes, FICA taxes and other
withholdings and unemployment taxes, maintaining payroll register, employee
earnings records, paying employee wages, making tax deposits, employer wages
and tax reporting, payroll wages reports, and reports on non-employee
compensation, and manual systems, mechanized systems, and computerized systems.
Business tax forms, including different business entities, business use of home
and car, record keeping, and health insurance and retirement.
