Customized Business Training: Programs are designed to improve employees' performance by providing high-quality, affordable training and development opportunities through services that range from providing a guest speaker to customizing an in-house training program leading to a certificate. CMC works with organizations to create a direct line from learning initiatives to business outcomes.
Founded on the belief that learning should be available wherever people work, at the time they need to learn, CMC’s Customized Business Services team provides: • Training for businesses and organizations of all sizes • Customized for your staff, from front-line staff to executive leaders • On-site or on-campus • Scheduled at your convenience http://coloradomtn.edu/business_industry/customized_business_services
Colorado First: This program helps individual businesses design specialized training. The Colorado First and Existing Industry grants are jointly administered by the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) and the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). Colorado First grants are for companies that are relocating to Colorado or existing companies that are undertaking a major expansion. Existing Industry grants are designed for Colorado companies that are implementing new technology to remain competitive and keep jobs in Colorado. Approved training is for transferable job skills that support both the company's economic competitiveness by re-training its workers in new skills, while enhancing the workers' long-term employment opportunities.
Entrepreneurship Program: Through entrepreneurial training at CMC, students gain the confidence and skills to launch a new venture or to grow an emerging or other existing business. Entrepreneurial classes include business management, law and communications, as well as courses in marketing, ethics and economics.
Virtual Campus: In addition to community and residential campuses, CMC currently offers distance learning through its "virtual campus" courses and programs in three formats: TeleWeb courses, Interactive Video (IVS) Courses, and Web Courses over the Internet.
Workforce Training: CMC has invited the Center to work with them and the Colorado Workforce Center to create training opportunities and identify potential participants. Workforce Centers provide a variety of free services to assist employers and job seekers, including job listings, computer & Internet access, career counseling & training for job seekers; and recruitment of workers, pre-screening & referral services, tax credits, and training reimbursement for employers.

CMC to Offer Four-Year Degrees With Gov. Bill Ritter's signature finally on Colorado Mountain College's four-year degree bill, the school is in its final push to offer bachelor's degrees in the high country. CMC's goal is to have up to five new four-year degree programs in place by fall 2011.
The CMC bill was signed Thursday in the Breckenridge campus auditorium before a full house, along with four other bills supported by state Sen. Dan Gibbs, state Rep. Christine Scanlan and state Sen. Chris Romer. Ritter also signed three other bills in Breckenridge Thursday: one to study "zipper lanes" on I-70 as a means of easing congestion; the "Colorado Kids Outdoors" bill to offer youth opportunities to study environmental science education; and another I-70 bill aimed at keeping slow-moving vehicles out of the left lane.
