Colorado Creative Industries
In July 2010, Colorado's new Creative Industries Division merged the former Council on the Arts; Office of Film, Television and Media; and Art in Public Places programs to capitalize on the immense potential for our creative sector to drive economic growth in Colorado. As part of the state's Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Colorado Creative Industries envisions a future in which Colorado is a premiere, creative economy, with strong brand identity and significant, sustainable investment in the creative sector. It is expected that Creative entrepreneurs and enterprises will flourish, and the state will "grow its own" creative workforce.
The Business of Art Can an artist, one who thrives on creative and technical work, create a successful business doing that art? What’s the secret of the lucky few who’ve managed to turn their artistic passions into a profitable business? Sometimes it’s better to let the artist speak for themselves; and that’s what we’re doing in this week’s E-Myth Your Business Podcast with Group Mastery client and artist Tara Reed. Tara has made a business out of licensing her art and teaching other artists how to do the same. In this podcast she offers tips to help artists grow their businesses without breaking the bank.
